their backs". Literally! Staple length of 3" to 5" - ideal
spinning length. Skirted, but you may still find bits of

Seconds
Seconds, the fiber we harvest
from the alpaca necks, chest and top of legs,
isn't quite as fine as the blanket (prime, or firsts).
It is great for felting or weaving projects, and it
has the same insulating and long life qualities as the best fiber.

enjoyed whenever winter chills the toes. Wear
these thick, terry knit socks as slippers
inside, or outside in hiking, hunting, wading or
work boots.
The sizes are not shoe sizes,
but sock sizes. Women that wear up to a size 8
shoe, use the 9-11. If you wear over a women's
size 8, get the 10-13. Men wearing up to a 10
shoe, get the 10-13, and for a shoe size 11 and

Hand-Knit Alpaca

by local artisans from Destiny's Farm fiber.
These hats were the all the rage at the 2009
Weare Farmer's Market - we couldn't keep them in
stock! We have a personal connection with every
one - we fed and cared for that alpaca for 365
days in order to shear the fiber that was spun
and then knit into each one of these hats.
