As with most things in our lives, Destiny's Farm started as a dream, a concept, and perhaps a wish. The decision to bring these gentle creatures into our lives was made over time - we encountered our first alpaca at a New Hampshire fair back in the late 90's, and wanted to know more. We spent several years researching alpacas, visiting farms, talking to breeders, going to shows. After all, this appeared to be an expensive adventure, and not something we wanted to enter into without all the preparation possible.

Then 9/11 happened. We had been in conversation with an alpaca breeder in Maine just days before, considering the purchase of several fiber/pet quality alpacas. By that afternoon, we made the decision to purchase, and kicked off this great adventure we call Destiny's Farm.

From those first pet quality animals, we learned much about alpacas, soon moving on to acquiring the best animals we could afford and developing a promising breeding program. We are now totally committed to these creatures called alpacas, to their well-being, for they have become a part of our heart and soul.  And we know they will capture your heart if you let them.
